Andersen Air Base, Guam – The halls of Andersen Middle School echoed with pride and gratitude as students and staff came together to honor the brave men and women who have served and those who continue to serve our great nation. The annual Veterans Day Program was a resounding success, filling the Dragon Theater with distinguished guests, military families, and members of our community.

This memorable program was organized by Mr. Brian Palaganas and showcased the incredible talents and dedication of our students. It was truly a student-led event, featuring AMS Student Ambassadors, National Junior Honor Society members, the AMS Band and Choir, Drama and Journalism students, and stunning artwork contributed by our Art students. Every element reflected the deep respect and appreciation our Dragons hold for those who sacrifice for freedom. We are grateful to Guam High School NJROTC and Commander Bowling for bringing Panther pride to our celebration and helping make the event memorable.

The highlight of the program was an inspiring address by Col. Shaun Parker, Commander of the Mission Support Group, 36th Wing at Andersen Air Force Base. Col. Parker shared a powerful story of truth and resilience, a message that will resonate in the halls of Andersen for years to come. His words reminded us of the enduring values of service, honor, and commitment.

Our students poured their hearts and souls into preparing for this event, demonstrating not only their talents but also their gratitude for the sacrifices made by our veterans and active-duty service members. Through music, art, drama, and words, they expressed pride and appreciation in a way that truly embodied the spirit of Veterans Day.

AMS is proud to continue this tradition of honoring those who protect our freedoms. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this program a memorable tribute to our heroes.
